Voya Financial

FICPA's Association Group Term Life Insurance Plan

The Group Coverage is available to you through the FICPA and ReliaStar Life Insurance Company, a member of the Voya® family of companies. As a member, term life coverage is available in the amount you select, from $200,000 to $1,000,000, in increments of $5,000. The plan includes a benefit to have a portion of your benefit paid out during your lifetime if deemed terminally ill as defined in the certificate. The plan also has the option to elect Accidental Death and Dismemberment coverage for you, your spouse and employees. Other benefits include the following:

  • Members, spouses and employees of members can apply for amounts of $200,000 to $500,000 in $5,000 increments.
  • This coverage provides $10,000 of life insurance coverage for your dependent children. One premium covers all eligible unmarried dependent children, ages 6 months to 21 years, or to age 25 if a full-time student. Children ages 14 days to 6 months are eligible for $500 or $1,000.
  • Available to active members under age 65 and employees of members who are actively at work
  • Continuous Coverage to age 75-Benefit reduces to 50% at age 65, to the lesser of 25% or $25,000 at age 70 and terminates at age 75.
  • Accelerated Life Benefits included.

CPA EmployerGard

Employment Practices Liability Insurance

The FICPA also offers members the AICPA–endorsed CPA EmployerGard, an employment practices liability insurance program which insures firms against risks such as, age, race or gender discrimination, sexual harassment, and wrongful dismissal. The Program, endorsed by the FICPA, nationally administered by Aon Insurance Services and underwritten by CNA, provides limits ranging from $100,000 to $5 million to qualified firms for their defense, settlements and judgments should they be sued for an employment practices–related dispute.

The Program also provides a host of risk control services to help firms understand and comply with employment law including, a legal hotline that provides access to an employment liability attorney when policyholders need advice. Additionally, policyholders receive newsletters, website publications and other information to help them understand the risks and reduce exposure.
