Anneliese Scherer
Fiske & Company, a boutique women-owned accounting, financial forensics, valuation, and litigation consulting firm, announced the addition of Anneliese Scherer, CPA, as the new Forensic and Valuation Services Manager.
“We are pleased to welcome Anneliese to our growing litigation support and forensic accounting practice group,” said Sheri Fiske Schultz, CPA/ABV/CFF, managing partner, Fiske & Company. “Her analytical skills and extensive experience in the field will be a valuable addition to our busy Litigation Support and Forensic Accounting Practice Groups.”
In her new role, she will be managing a diverse case load consisting of litigation and business disputes such as employee theft, shareholder and partner disputes, embezzlement and locating and analyzing disputed assets in divorce matters. She also works with the firm’s tax & accounting practice clients by providing outsources CFO and consultative services.
“It is an honor to work with one of the top litigation support accounting firms in South Florida,” said Scherer. “Fiske has earned its stellar reputation in the legal and business community over the past 50 years.”
Before joining Fiske, Scherer was a forensic accountant, auditor, business manager and internal accountant as well and ran her own accounting firm.
She received both Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting from Florida International University. Scherer is a member in good standing of the American Institute of CPAs and Florida Institute of CPAs.
She is based in Fiske’s Fort Lauderdale office.
Hamic Previte & Sturwold
Erin Golotko
Hamic Previte & Sturwold, P.A. now has nine Certified Public Accountants on their team with Erin Golotko, Senior Tax Accountant, receiving her CPA license.
Erin is a Florida Southern College Alumni with a Master of Business Administration degree. She has extensive knowledge in the preparation of business, trust and individual tax returns with added expertise in the construction industry. With her wide range of experience and steadfast personality, Erin looks forward to contributing to the growing accounting industry for many years to come.
Synovus Trust Company
Sheldon Bernau
On July 22, Gov. Ron DeSantis announced several appointments to the Florida Board of Pilot Commissioners. Among them is FICPA Member Sheldon Bernau, CPA, CGMA, CDF.
Bernau, of Pensacola, is vice president and senior relationship manager at Synovus Trust Company. He is a member of the AICPA and the Northwest Florida Bar Association Foundation. He has served on the FICPA Nominations Committee and as chair of our West Florida Chapter, and currently serves as a director of the Florida CPA/PAC.
Bernau earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from Pensacola Christian College and his master’s degree in accountancy from the University of West Florida.
The FICPA warmly congratulates Bernau on his appointment to the board of this high-profile division of the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
Bernau’s appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
