Sheri Fiske Schultz
Fiske & Company, a full-service accounting, financial forensics, and litigation consulting firm, announced its Managing Partner, Sheri Fiske Schultz, CPA/ABV/CFF, has been appointed to Nova Southeastern University’s NSU Levan Ambassadors Board.
Established and named after Susie and Alan B. Levan in 2011, the invitation-only NSU Levan Ambassadors Board is comprised of a select group of C-Suite business professionals, and other leaders who are dedicated to supporting the university’s leadership efforts and positively impact business, education, health care, civic service, and the quality of life in the region.
“I am honored to join such an esteemed group of local leaders,” said Fiske Schultz. “NSU is a well-respected university and I look forward to working with other Ambassadors to carry out their vision and mission.”
Katie Gilden
Fiske & Company also announced Chief Operating Officer (COO) Katie Gilden, CPA/ABV/CFF, CFE, CVA, has made equity partner.
She has been the firm’s COO since 2020 overseeing the firm’s overall operations and strategic planning. She has also been integrally involved with the firm’s Forensic Accounting and Business Valuation Litigation support practice groups since joining the firm in 2009.
“Katie has been a ‘Rock Star’ helping lead the firm and establishing herself as one of the Go-To financial forensics and litigation support professionals in the marketplace,” said Sheri Fiske Schultz, CPA/ABV/CFF, managing partner, Fiske & Company. “We appreciate her passion, dedication, and tremendous work ethic.”
Prior to joining Fiske & Company, Gilden was a principal at a boutique consulting firm, specializing in forensic accounting investigations of complex financial matters related to civil litigation and bankruptcy.
She has provided accounting and litigation support in the areas of fraud and professional negligence; evaluating and assessing accounting and audit work papers; assisting Trustees, Receivers, Debtors-in-possession, and Assignees for the Benefit of Creditors in carrying out various accounting and financial aspects of their fiduciary duties.
Gilden is well known among accounting and legal professionals in South Florida for her vast experience in the field and effectiveness as a financial expert. She is accredited in business valuation and in financial forensics (AICPA), holds certifications as fraud examiner, and a public accountant with the State of Florida.
She attended the University of Miami where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in accounting; and simultaneously earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in taxation and later earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
Katie is based in Fiske’s Fort Lauderdale office.

Jodi Malis, Chad Miller, Kristen Brand, Craig Armstrong, Allen Akins
Hancock Askew & Co., LLP, a full-service tax, audit, accounting and advisory firm is excited to announce that Angela Krebs has been promoted to Chief Operations Officer at the firm. In addition to the COO appointment, the firm has named the following Partners to the newly formed, Executive Committee: Michael McCarthy, Jodi Malis, Chad Miller, Kristen Brand, Stephen Leonard, Craig Armstrong, and Allen Akins.The

George Batalis
Katz, Sapper & Miller is pleased to announce the promotion of George Batalis to partner effective Jan. 1, 2023.
Batalis is the leader of KSM’s healthcare consulting services in the Healthcare Resources Group. George oversees a team of strategic healthcare consultants who help healthcare organizations across the country improve profitability by increasing revenue streams and optimizing operations. In addition to leading the practice, he provides expertise in healthcare strategic planning, financial and operational analysis, creating and executing healthcare alignment and partnership models, mergers and acquisitions diligence and strategy, payer/provider value-based and risk sharing arrangements, and physician compensation models.
George received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and finance from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.

Heber Roajs
Heber Roajs was one of only 36 CPAs honored by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) as a member of the Leadership Academy’s 14th graduating class. Heber was selected based on his exceptional leadership skills and professional experience for the four-day Leadership Academy program, which will be held Oct. 23-27.
The AICPA Leadership Academy was designed to strengthen and expand the leadership skills of promising young professionals while they network with a peer group of talented and motivated CPAs.
The 2022 Leadership Academy attendees were recommended by their employers, state CPA societies, and/or volunteer organizations. Candidates submitted resumes and a statement explaining how participating in the Leadership Academy would impact them personally and professionally.
