During the past few weeks, our thoughts and prayers have been with you all as you have begun to recover from Hurricane Ian. While we’ve tirelessly worked to bring any and all filing deadline relief at the state and national levels, we’ve searched for ways to assist and support you further.
We understand that this time may prove especially challenging as you assist your clients in navigating deadline extensions and casualty and property loss issues, while you may be addressing damage and loss of your own.
To continue supporting you, we are hosting an informational and networking event on Monday, Nov. 28 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Fort Myers area. FICPA Leadership and Staff will be joined by AICPA Chair Anoop N. Mehta, CPA, CGMA, representatives of the AICPA Benevolent Fund, and the IRS.
Whether you're seeking support for yourself, guidance on how best to advise your clients, or you just want to come out and support your CPA community, we have you covered. Your FICPA is here for you, and we’re supported by a larger network of our state society peers, including our colleagues from the Louisiana State Society, who will be on site serving an authentic Cajun meal to our attendees.
I would also like to extend a special thank you to our member firm, Stroemer & Company, for hosting this event at their offices.
While an RSVP is not required, we’d appreciate a quick note to let us know we may see you while we’re there. You may email [email protected].
We are thankful for your safety, and we look forward to seeing many of you soon.
