Last month, members of FICPA leadership joined our national partners at the AICPA to meet with federal lawmakers on issues important to the accounting profession during the AICPA Spring Meeting of Council and Annual Members Meeting.
The FICPA on Feb. 8 officially opened its new headquarters in Downtown Orlando. The ceremony marked the completion of the FICPA’s multi-year relocation to Orlando from Tallahassee. The 11,000-square-foot office will house more than 30 FICPA staff members.

As of Monday afternoon, we know that more than 6,000 of our fellow CPAs and accounting professionals in the FICPA have been directly impacted by Hurricane Ian. We are all in this together.
The FICPA on Friday sent a letter to IRS Commissioner Charles Rettig thanking the IRS for granting filing relief to citizens in Florida. In that letter, we requested additional guidance with respect to the Sept. 30 deadline for COVID-19 penalty relief.
